Screenwriting

Isabella attended the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California where she majored in Writing for Screen and Television. She wrote her first screenplay when she was 16 and has been writing ever since.

 

Her freshman year of USC, she wrote a short screenplay named Lullaby that was selected in a highly competitive process as part of USC CPTR 480, the capstone production course. The only freshman script selected that year, it was produced and made by USC students. You can view the IMDB page for the short here.

Isabella has since written one YA novel, ten feature screenplays, two original pilots, and two spec scripts. She enjoys writing character-driven, female centered stories about left of center people in left of center situations. She occasionally collaborates with her sisterIsabella's feature screenplay Lucky Phoenix received attention from major management companies and won semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival as well as semi-finalist for We Screenplay Diverse Voices Feature contest. Her screenplays Spring Cleaning and No Fear both won semi-finalist at the Page Screenwriting competition and also garnered her meetings at important agencies and management companies. Her space comedy pilot FML.. I'm In Space was highly considered for production at Sky Network. She was also selected among 1,200 candidates for the Mentorship Matters program which was featured on Deadline. She is now represented at Aspire Talent Management.

She has also co-written, produced, and starred in an original short film with her sister, titled "Never Getting Rid of Me, B*tch", which is making its rounds in the festival circuit
